Ride legal, ride smart: under current UK law, privately owned e-scooters may not be used on public roads, cycle lanes or footpaths, they are for use on private land with the landowner’s permission. Class 3 mobility scooters must be registered with the DVLA before road use. It is each customer’s responsibility to use their vehicle in accordance with the law. Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
